Prism Valuation is not affiliated with any structured products dealers and is therefore able to offer truly independent analysis. We collect all of our market data exclusively from brokers and other independent data vendors. In addition, we have all the financial tools accessible to a structured products dealer, hence we are able to value any transaction where underlying data is available. This extends to the most exotic deals and one-off structures that are found in the structured products market.

Valuations

We can provide valuations on a one-off basis or on a regular schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly). In all cases, we provide a complete service, working directly from customer-supplied deal confirms or other source documents. Upon request we can deliver valuation results in a customer-defined file format as well as via Interactive Data’s FTS service.

Valuation Transparency Reports

In order to provide full transparency, our valuation service can, upon request, provide detailed reports of the entire valuation process, including such relevant information as:

• Required underlying market data -- what is essential?

• Model and calibration choices, along with reasons behind the choices, including details on determination of any model parameters which are not directly calibrated to market data -- what is prudent?

• Primary and secondary sensitivities -- what is important?

Valuation Discrepancy Reports

We can also provide a detailed Valuation Discrepancy service, where we analyze any differences between customer’s valuations (counterparty and/or internal valuations) and the Prism Valuation service. This allows customers the highest level of understanding and confidence of the possible reasonable variations of complex deal valuations.

Interactive Data clients may avail themselves of the scheduled delivery of valuations and reports via Interactive Data’s FTS service. FTS combines an intuitive online facility that allows the customer to input the details and deal documentation for a particular structured product. The valuation results can be received through the FTS browser or as data downloaded in an electronic file format, which may then be integrated into existing services.
